Students can sign up for a free 6-month trial and if you’ve used that up, get 50% off 1yr of Prime ($59 per year) for up to four years. You’ll get free 2-day shipping on all Prime Day deals.

Get 4 Months of Amazon Music Unlimited for $0.99 (normally $40)

You must be logged into your Amazon Prime account.

This Amazon Prime Day deal is for new subscribers only. This is an excellent deal considering you normally pay $8-$10 per month for this service. It’s comparable to Spotify or Pandora Premium (paid) with millions of ad-free songs. I signed up for this same deal last Prime Day and have kept it since.

Amazon Echo Show for $129.99

You must be logged into your Amazon Prime account.

The Echo Show is normally $229.99 and was $179.99 on Black Friday. The Show is a souped-up Echo with a 7″ touchscreen display, 5MP camera, 8-microphone array, and dual 2″ stereo speakers. You’ll be able to make video calls to people who have an Echo Show or the Alexa App. There’s alot of other useful things you can do with a screen, such as set up a calendar, live view a security camera, read IGN articles, watch YouTube, and more.

20% off select Amazon items for AMEX Cardholders

This deal may be limited to select AMEX cardholders. Amazon & American Express are offering 20% off select Items when you pay with American Express Rewards Points (link your rewards account). There is a maximum discount of $100. Items must be fulfilled by Amazon.

Note that you don’t have to pay for the entire order with points. Simply pay using 1 point, and then pay the rest using your AMEX credit card. It will work. Some items that are confirmed to be eligible:

Get Free Games Every Day Until 7/18 with Twitch Prime

Amazon Prime members get FREE Twitch Prime access.

Signing up for just one month of Prime for $12.99 will give you access to Prime Day, Free 2-Day Shipping, and all these free Twitch Prime games.

Now until July 18, Twitch Prime members will get a free PC game every day, including Brutal Legend and Pillars of Eternity.

50% off All Twitch Merchandise for Amazon Prime Members

You must be logged into your Amazon Prime account.

All you have to do is “clip” the coupon and you’ll get 50% discounted at cart. Score shirts for $7.50 or hoodies for $22.50.

Get $10 off your first TWO Amazon Prime Now orders

You must be logged into your Amazon Prime account.

This Amazon Prime Day deal is for new subscribers only.  Use code “20PRIMENOW” or “20PRIMEDAY” to get $10 off your first two Prime Now purchase. Prime Now orders are generally delivered the same day, sometimes in just a few hours.

Get $10 off your Amazon Prime Pantry order of $40 or More

You must be logged into your Amazon Prime account.

Amazon Prime Pantry offers low prices on tons of household goods. Pricing is not normally available for regular Amazon shoppers. No matter how many items you buy, you pay the same $5.99 flat rate shipping cost. If you don’t have a Prime Pantry membership, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial.

Get 3 Months of Amazon FreeTime for Kids for $3 (normally $30)

You must be logged into your Amazon Prime account.

This is an awesome deal for parents with young kids (like myself). Amazon FreeTime gives you unlimited access to thousands of kid-friendly books, movies, TV shows, educational apps, and games.

Get $30 off $100 from your first Amazon Fresh order

You must be logged into your Amazon Prime account.

This Amazon Prime Day deal is for new subscribers only. This is Amazon’s grocery delivery service. If you place your order in the morning, you’ll receive your order within the same day.

Definitely Check Back More Than Once

If you plan to only check in once, you’re going to be missing out on a lot of deals. Deals will be trickling in throughout the day, and Amazon has a tendency to spread out their best deals so that they won’t all sell out in the morning. Additionally, Lightning Deals only last for 3 hours or less, and then they are replaced with brand new deals.

Expect Deals on Amazon Branded Devices

Expect to see the lowest prices of the year on Kindle and Fire Tablets, Fire TV, Echo, and possibly the newly released Fire TV Cube. Because Amazon would absolutely love it if everyone bought an Amazon branded device, these deals may start a few days in advance of Prime Day.

Expect Deals on Amazon Subscriptions

Prime Day also hosts some of the best deals of the year on Amazon subscriptions like Amazon Music Unlimited, Audible, Kindle Unlimited, Prime Video, Prime Now, Pantry, and more. If we’re lucky, there might even be a deal on Amazon Prime memberships, but don’t hold your breath on that one.

Expect Deals on Amazon Gift Cards

If an Amazon gift card deal comes around, get it! Amazon gift cards are as good as cash. Even if you don’t shop there yourself, it makes a perfect (discounted) gift for any occasion.

Expect deals at Amazon Warehouse

Amazon Warehouse sells preowned goods, both from Amazon themselves and from third party marketplace vendors. During previous Prime Days, there have been a general coupon code that marks down these already discounted prices by another 20% or so.

Expect an Amazon Book Coupon

I’ll wager there will be a $5 off $15 book coupon. This code should work on strategy guides, art books, collectibles, manga, and more.
