Dreamworks Animation and Netflix are bringing She-Ra, the legendary warrior princess from Etheria, back to television, with an all-new set of adventures that you can stream on November 13.
“Inspired by the popular ‘80s animated series, DreamWorks She-Ra and the Princesses of Power tells the epic story of an orphan named Adora, who leaves behind her former life in the evil Horde when she discovers a magic sword that transforms her into the mythical warrior princess She-Ra. Along the way, she finds a new family in the Rebellion as she unites a group of magical princesses in the ultimate fight against evil,” according to the synopsis.
We have an exciting exclusive clip featuring Adora in action, as she struggles to control her magical powers. Check out the clip below:
The above footage is a great example of the show’s playful humor, imaginative animation, and colorful cast of characters. It’s also the first time Adora meets Swift Wind, a winged unicorn.
The voice cast includes Aimee Carrero (Elena of Avalor) as Adora/She-Ra; Karen Fukuhara (Suicide Squad) as Glimmer; AJ Michalka (The Goldbergs) as Catra, Marcus Scribner (black-ish) as Bow; Reshma Shetty (Royal Pains) as Angella; and Lorraine Toussaint (Orange is the New Black) as Shadow Weaver.
All 13 episodes of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power will be available to stream on Tuesday, November 13 on Netflix.
David Griffin still watches DuckTales in his pajamas with a cereal bowl in hand. He’s also the TV Editor for IGN. Say hi on Twitter.
